ENDLESS ABACUS(1992)

An abacus is a tool for calculation.
Its usage is limited to those who have the skill to use it.
Each head on the abacus represent a numeral. It has a frame to limit the movement of the beads.
I created an endless, frame-less abacus that circled the entire surface of the walls in a museum, so that the 'right side' of the abacus connects with the 'left'. In other words, there are no side or boundaries. It is transformed from limited to endless form and expression. As with Mark sheet_Fill in the blank, I try to break the confines of limits expression within a limited sphere.
