Similar to Mini Investment, this piece is a process of investing as a means of illustrating the effects of systems on the individual. By opening 54 randomly selected bank accounts and through periodic cash transfers from one bank to another, my existence and identity are confirmed in different places. This compilation of bank cards becomes the material evidence of how external and internal systems become synchronous.

I opened 54 different bank accounts and periodically transfer my money from one bank to another using the ATM. It is a manner of confirming my existence in one place, one bank, and reconfirming it in another, and so on and so forth. In a sense, my identity as an individual is recognized and acknowledged in multiple places. The ATM prints out the customized ‘transfer cards’ for my accounts. I view the collection of transfer cards as a means of artistic production. The ATM becomes a tool like the printing machine, and the bank becomes my artist’s studio/workshop where the printed receipts simultaneously evidence the cash transfers I perform and serve as artistic imprints.
