Making an OUTLINE.
Carving an OUTLINE.
Cutting an OUTLINE.
Raising an OUTLINE.
Curling an OUTLINE.
Working on wood panels, I transform the flat plane by carving random lines into it, while keeping the extruded wood attached. The negative and positive forms created evidence the chiseling action. Out of the directed pressure I applied onto the panel resulting in straight grooves, the curling of the splinters reveals the malleable property of wood.
Making a straight OUTLINE is a way of making a curled OUTLINE.
