Notions of permanence or fixity are illusory. Making and installing works of art require making choices—the ways of positioning or affixing elements or materializing a concept in place, within a designated space. Fix is a series in which I take some models that refer to spaces and how materials relate to these spaces.

For Fix/Numbers, I marked wooden cards in a sequence of numbers 0-9 then strung them up through drilled holes. They are loosely tied. While the cards are in sequential order, the variabilities of their order become dependent on how they ‘fall into place’ or how they are hung. This illustrates the permutational instability within stable systems or the potential of a single fixed order to generate a realm of multiple fixities.

I made wooden number cards, drilled them to make holes for threading, wrote down numbers on them (from 0 to 9). The thread is threaded through the holes of wooden number cards and fastened up loosely. They were threaded according to the order of the numbers.

Because of being fastened (or tied up) loosely, in case I put it on the table or wall, the positioning of the cards is not stable. We lost the order of the numbers but the instability was fixed by the fastening. I made a multiple realm of fixations.

'Expression' is fundamentally for passing on a personal message. It is an artificial event in everyday life, against neutral days. In order to make people recognize the 'expression' that needs stability. It is not only physically but also conceptually, otherwise, it would be categorized a natural phenomena.
The meaning (the concept) needs to be replayed again and again for people (audience).

In order to make people recognize the 'expression', which is ultimately aimed at people, it takes a long period of time.

The 'expression' that I would like to categorize in this context, is 'disobey'.

As if the 'expression' suggests a virtual domain or a real site, as if the 'expression' wants to be an invisible layer, it needs a frame as an analogy of 'space'. The 'frame' is a thread of thinking, it means the way of recognition, the system of thinking of human beings.

In short, the expression has to be FIXED on the real world; it should stay with us. This context's of FIX contains also fixing on the any media, not only real space, but also digital media, etc.
I have been thinking about the way of FIX, the system of fixing fundamentally. What I made was a series of style for fundamental construction for Fixing.

I found that the BODY of the 'expression' has to have holes physically or analogically in it. The 'expression' itself should contain or become a tool of putting or connecting the space.
The holes are used as a function to tie up other parts. But tied up, the 'expression' becomes a part of the space, part of the background of the 'expression'.
