Patterns created with the Spirograph are predetermined by the specific designs and sizes of its gears and shapes. I believe that all animate and inanimate objects are subject to the limitations of their intended functions. The drawing tool has a predetermined function and my will to use it is also predetermined. The tool’s function and my decision to use the tool as its function dictates presuppose each other. Drawing the patterns with the Spirgraph, I present them as evidences of the collaboration of the ‘will’ of the inanimate object with my will.

Spiro Graph's functions are predetermined and limited. I believe that all animate and inanimate objects are subject to the limitations of their intended functions, and that all object present a 'will' and affect each others with this will. Due to the tool's predetermined functions, my action when using the tool are also predetermined . It could be said that the tool presupposes my thoughts.I have drown diagrams with the Spiro-Graph and I am submitting them as my drawings. Present in them the collaboration of my will and the will of the inanimate object.
